Based in Tunis since the 2011 revolution, I have contributed to a range of news outlets including The Guardian (London), The Economist and the BBC World Service radio's 'From our own Correspondent'. Previously, I worked out of Morocco, 2001-2004, as The Economist correspondent. I have also reported from Algeria and Libya.
In Tunisia, attention is focused at present on the autumn elections, which are likely to confirm that the country continues on track in building a parliamentary democracy.
The vote for a new Tunisian parliament -- the first since a new constitution was approved following the revolution -- will take place on Sunday October 26. A month later there is a presidential election, on November 23.
